No and that's the whole point. The M4MH flexible marathon challenge gives you the entire month of October 2026 to complete your 26.2 miles.
Break it down however works for you: a morning run, a lunchtime walk, a weekend hike with friends. Life gets busy — this marathon is built to flex around it.
Our marathon gives you the opportunity to get out and FEEL GOOD by having a goal both physically & mentally whilst giving back to charity as you do. -
Yes! Whilst it’s up to you to choose how you cover the marathon distance in October, we will be hosting walk/hikes/runs in 10 locations globally.
This means you can find community and join like-minded folks to have a chat with while getting out in nature.Head here to find the events part of our Community 5k Program.

We don’t monitor your distance, but in good faith hope you will log your miles accurately!
You can do so on strava- and we’d love to see you in the Marathon for Mental Health community club to spur each other on!
You can other see people’s progress around the globe that are doing so at the same time to motivate you. -
Kitbags with cap and medal pin are distributed in September 2026.
Guaranteed delivery before 1st October has a cut off of 15th September if the delivery address is outside of the UK.
You can still pay for Standard Entry up until 28th September but we cannot guarantee you parcel will be delivered in time for October 1st.

As part of your welcome pack you will receive a link to create a fundraising page under M4MH’s official fundraising platform Enthuse.
For seafaring participants, this will allow donations to be deposited directly to ISWAN - our seafarer charity of choice. Find out more about ISWAN here. -
The more the merrier! We can tailor entries for large crews/ teams.

Kitbags are distributed in September. Please put an address you feel confident will be occupied that you can retrieve the kitbag during that time period.
If you are using a Capitanarie or Marina address please clearly provide the boat name along with your personal name.
If there are enough orders to a particular region we can use our shoreside network to utilise an office address if it is located by a major port/marina - we can collate orders for bulk shipping but need a minimum of 8 orders being placed to that region to do so.
